Touchscreen Help with QNX 4.24

For those of us that are stuck with the older versions of QNX, it is getting
hard to replace components!

Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. We have over 90 QNX
workstations here that use a Datalux Touchscreen. (Model LMV10R) Datalux no
longer makes these and when they refurbish them, they are made into a
LMV10R2. I need to start replacing a lot of these and am looking for a
touch screen that will work with QNX 4.24 and is similar in size. Any
ideas?

Thanks!

Try contacting Dolch (their web site is www.dolch.com), they have a touch screen that works with QNX4.

We have been using the Elographics resistive touchscreen, which uses the
Smartset protocol, with QNX 4.24 and Photon 1.13 for a number of years, with
no significant problems. The only major issue has been that the resistive
touch surface, which is plastic, wears out and must be replaced every once
in a while.

If neither of these suggestions are suitable for you we could write a QNX 4
driver for the Touchscreen of your choice as a Custom Engineering project.
Or you could request a specific one be supported - we’ll consider it, based
on demand (if anyone esle requires it), and resource availability etc.
