eTurboTouch TouchScreen

Hi,

I’m trying to run eTurboTouch T6 with QNX4/Photon.

Do anybody know wich driver could work? The controller protocoll can be
found here: www.touchinternational.de/en/ControllerGuide.pdf

If no driver will run: where can I get a running - and quite similiar  -
driver in Source for QNX4 to adopt?

HI Martin,

Currently this controller is not supported, however you can use
the Input DDK to add support for it.

The input DDK is a part of QNX 6.1.0A and QNX 6.2.

Best regards,

Erick.

Martin:
I had a similar problem a few months ago with trying to integrate a Penmount
controller into a QNX4 / Photon based system. Solved the problem by creating
a serial driver (based on the Dev.ser code) that did whatever initialization
was necessary itself and then converted incoming coordinate pairs into
ELO-like packets. The input.${NODE} trap file was then setup to declare the
touchscreen device as an ELO so “Input” was fooled into believing that there
was a real ELO there. The Dev.ser code is available from the QNX ftp site
and a lot of it can be stripped out if you are dealing with just a single
serial device.

This may be the only way that you can solve the problem - Hope this helps.

Hi Martin,

Re-read your post and this was for QNX 4 (hence being in the QNX4 newsgroup).

Lionel’s suggestion is a good one as it allows you to fool Input, as there
is currently no DDK for Input under QNX4.

Best regards,

Erick

Also it should be noted that we can do this for you in a custom engineering
