Synchronous Communication with QNX

Hi,

We have a requirement for which we need to purchase a QNX compatible
board for high speed synchronous communication (V.35 or RS-232). I have
looked at Digi and MOXA product range. Digi does not manufacture such
boards. MOXA does but QNX drivers are not provided. Does any other product
range include QNX compatible card for our requirement?

Thanks,
Krupa

Have you tried ConnectTech?

They have good QNX support, and they are normally friendly
and helpful to deal with.

Please advise the synchronous protocol and data rate you want to use.
Gandacar Consulting Limited uses programmable 2, 8 or 16 port PCI bus
controllers from Comtrol UK to provide support for various synchronous
protocols under QnX 4.2X and Rtos 6.2.

Thank you for sharing your experience of sync communication card with QNX.
Can you please suggest any specific model used by you? Are QNX drivers for
card bundled with the product?

We have tried to contact the manufacturer mentioned by you in this regard
but they have not responded so far.

We are trying to establish a microwave communication link with the help of
equipment that that supports 64kbps channel. But the communication interface
supported by our euipment is synchronous V.35 or RS232. For taking advantage
of this transfer rate, we require a QNX comaptible PC based card that allows
synchronous serial communication or an external convertor that allows async
RS232 terminal (computer) at one end and sync RS232 at the other end (our
equipment). At the receiving end, again we will require a convertor/card. In
brief, we intend to use 1 set of cards for communication one at querying end
and other at responding end. In such a case should sync protocol requirement
be specified by us?

Thanks,
Krupa
