Boot ROM

This is unrelated to QNX4 but given this is about old stuff I though
this conference would be the proper place to ask.

A combinaison of CPU card and network card with NE2000 boot rom at a
specific address will prevent the CPU card from booting. It’s not a
adress conflict. System has been sent to CPU card maker. What they
discover is the BOOT rom code is scanning ISA bus to apparently detect
the IO address and is causing havoc. They report the BOOT rom code way
of scanning is different depending in which system they put the network
card in. They would like to get information on how the BOOT rom code
works and what it is doing.
