Multiple Consoles in QNX4

Is there a way to get more than 9 windows up for use in QNX 4 and if there
is how would you switch to window 12 for example? ctrl-alt-consolenumber
sort of falls down at that point.

Thanks

You can have 10. See the help system for Dev.ansi. Depending on what you

intend to do with these, you might get by with Dev.ditto which can get
you another 10, but to access them (screen & keyboard) you need to use
ditto.

Just to clarify.

You get 10 in text mode. The 10th one is ++0.
In Photon, you only get 9.

NOTE: Running pterm under photon is not the same as being in text mode.

You can start multiple instance of Dev.ditto and specify a different device
base name to give you an almost unlimited number of consoles (always limited
to 10 by Dev.ditto being started)
