I am looking for some good documentation on how vdir is supposed to
work. The online docs only list 4 options, but doing a “use vdir” (in
4.25 patch E) lists options relating to a spill file. Ideally I would
like a ramdisk where any files that don’t fit are automatically saved to
the disk instead. I’m not sure if this is what the spill file is used
for, so any help would be appreciated.
AFAIK vdir has no such limit. It reallocates memory to contain all the
stored files.
