II sound card. I heard that there was a spat between Aureal and QNX

Currently, the Vortex chips are unsupported.
It can/will not be supported in the GPL drivers.
When we have non-GPL drivers ready we will let you
know.

Might this situation on the GPL driver licensing issues be
changing now that Creative (who does allow open sourcing
of their SB Live! series drivers) is the whole owner of the
the now defunct company known as Aureal and all their
associated IP?

Probably not, only time will tell. The fact remains that
we signed an NDA. If they want to release us from that NDA
that is their choice, not ours.
I am not overly concerned, either way. It was never our
intention to stay on GPL’ed drivers for long. As soon as
we can, we will remove ourselves from this situation.
