MP3 Player

Question; does the audio/media player included in Photon play MP3s? When
I go to my MP3 archive under my Windows file system while in QNX, it loads
an MP3, displays the information, and plays… but no audio output from it.
However, it plays audio CDs fine. Is perhaps something in my mixer amiss?
Thanks.

does it play other soundfiles? Everyone usually has at least one CDRom drive
with an audio cable going directly into the soundcard, this allows you to
play cdaudio without the need for software… (e.g. I can play audio via the
buttons on the front of my cdrom without even having an OS containing
multimedia loaded (v2_os, dos boot disk, etc))

Well, that’s the thing. It loads and will play… but I get no output.
Don’t tell me, let me guess: I have to slay the audio device managing my
AWE32 and use new flags. If that’s the case, then this can likely be
ignored while I go through and scan prior messages on the topic when I’m
back in QNX

Do you have an mpsettings file under $(HOME)/.ph?
A problem with mpsettings file might leave you with
the volume being set to 0 when the plugin is loaded.
I have not see this myself but it would explain what you
see.
What does the mixer tell you?
Can you play soundfiles?
