Alloc mem failed

Hi all!

During the boot process there are quite a bunch of “Alloc mem failed”…
Almost surprising that anything works at all… The big problem is (as I
wrote elsewhere) the video driver (riva tnt), but who knows what other
problems lurk in the background because of that?

My questions are: why those messages? are they all malign? what can be done
about them?

thanks
Vlad

These messages come from the pci server. A number of fixes have been made and
should be available soon in a patch. This is the cause of the video driver
problems you are having.

Add /M64
to the end of the lin in the config.sys file, if you have 64 meg of ram.
OR;

enter what ever amount you actually have barring the limits of QNX if there
is any.
On a stand alone partition? Stand alone machine?
I don’t now where the line is to
manually configure your available ram, but I’m pretty shure someone will
jump in and say it.
