Yes. There seem to be several different reasons the mouse can go whacky,
and there will need to be several solutions implemented to deal with
each possible cause.

I can’t even guarantee that any of them will be done in time for the
first patch.

Mice are evil. I wear surgical gloves whenever I’m working on them now.
We should not call them mice… we should call them `rats’ to properly
convey the proper sense of filth.

Mine nipped me the other day with its razor sharp rodent fangs when I
squeezed it too hard whilst using a paint program. Suffice to say I have
now written some code for trapping bad mouse events.

Hehe, a GUI mouse control panel and a universal Cirrus Logic GD54xx
video driver are two things QNX RTP could really use. The GD54xx
series must be neck and neck with crappy old Trident chips on older
computers.

I think I lost count of the number of CL video chips at around 40.

I agree mice are evil. I use a Kensington Expert Mouse (Trackball) whenever
possible. The programable buttons are really cool and they did a good job
of writing the drivers. Of course they don’t have any drivers except for
Winsucks
and Mac so I’m stuck with the evil little critters when I use QNXx. (QNX4.25
or QNXRTP)
