SB ESS1868 again!

I include the result of “enum-pnpisa”, and of pidin.
It seems that my sound card, an SB compatible, 16-bit Full-Duplex, ESS1868, is indeed detected on bootup.
Is there a way to make it produce sound?
I am kindly asking a QNXRTP technician, or any one who knows about it, to give me his opinion or even a solution.

if memory serves us today, this should work for you…
create an /etc/rc.d/rc.local script/file using vi and add this to it:
deva-sb -i5 -d1,5 -p0x220

then…save and exit
then… try your mediaplayer and mixer from the shelf.
i think you’ll be fine
keep in touch otherwise
ciao

I created the script file in /etc/rc.d, the rc.local file with vi, and made it executable as the other files in that
directory.
When I start QNXRTP and then photon (ph), I see in the shelf that the volume control is almost at the highest, a sign
that it works. But (!) from the shelf, mediaplayer does not start when I click on it. Mixer starts ok. It shows ‘Sound
Blaster Pro - CTL1345’. Then I kill the process for deva-sb in a shell. I can then use audio CDs, they play well!
The media player does not work at all. It seems that no connection is made from the player to the chip on the audio
card.
Is there anything else one can do, short of changing the audio card?
Any experience with this kind of audio card?
Thanks for taking your time to help me.

Raymond
