Yes. However makeing use of the HighPoint is a bit complicated,
and actually will be slower (because it won’t use DMA).
If you stick with the “standard” IDE controller you’ll be fine.

Unfortunately Intel has stop making SMP capable Celeron
thus ABIT discontined the product.
But AMD dual processor are comming soon so we will be
able to enjoy again SMP at a very reasonable price.
