I have a Motorola 28.8 isa modem I have install in a K6 166 24 meg. I
know memory is low but I just want to try it out.
I have tried “slay devc-ser 8250” and what happens is the mouse which is
on com2 freezes,even when you quit terminal it won’t move . Must reboot
to get it to work.
When I continue ,
slay devc-ser8250
devc-ser8250 -u3 3e8,2
qtalk -m /dev/ser3
Qtalk[4.81]
using modem /dev/ser3
modem : /dev/ser3 logging : disabled
loacal echo : disabled Xfer : qcp
Top bit : displayed Delete char : 0x7f
Command char : (Ctrl a)

Your mouse is connected to com2 so devc-ser8250 is responsible
for communication with it. When you slay it, you “cripple” your mouse.
Did you try starting your modem (devc-ser8250 -u3 …) without
slay-ing the devc-ser8250 ?

try to do it: devc-ser8250 -u3 3E8,2 without using the command
“slay”… or try this command: devc-tser8250 -u3 3E8,2… ok ??
