Video "kind-of" problem

OK-

First, let me say “What a cool OS.”
What a cool OS.
I’m tinkering with QNXRTP and I love it. It’s my new toy! I was
especially dazzled by how fast and easy the network installation
went–Microsoft should be particularly ashamed of that.
Now, on to business. I do hope this hasn’t been addressed
elsewhere…
I’ve got this super-bright line at the top of the screen… it looks
like the CRT is scanning about five or six times over two or three rows of
phosphors, and the top of the image is “scrunched.” It disappears when
runnning VESA or VGA drivers, but those don’t refresh faster than 60Hz and
look like crap, respectively.
Only the TNT drivers work well, but they do that line thing. I have a
GeForce 256 SDR… anybody else having similar problems, or know what’s
going on??

I had a similar problem, oddly enough adjusting the width/height settings on
my monitor fixed it. Must have something to do with plug&play.

Hi Chuck,

This is a known problem with our driver and some TNT cards. We are currently
addressing the problem here. The reason why you don’t see the problem with
the VESA driver is because they use the video BIOS to set the mode and get
the timings (as opposed to the direct modeswitcher on your card where
the problem lies in our driver).
