Messed up /etc/rc.d/rc.devices....

I edited my rc.devices file by adding a line, and now the machine will not
boot up. When I reboot in F5 safemode, the drive is mounted on /fs and I
can cd into it and then go to the actual hard drive, etc/rc.d, but the
files in this directory are not the ones that I edited. vi doesn’t work
either because it says there is no /tmp directory, and I cannot create a
/tmp directory.

Any ideas on how I can find my actual rc.devices file and remove my one
line error?

Thanks,

John Wells

I have had the same problem but with /etc/system/enum/include/net. I am sure
it has an easy solution but I couldn’t work it out and just reinstalled.
Anyone have any ideas?

Poseidon

look at pkgctl ( use pkgctl ) and pay attention to the -r option
