Which version of QNX?

I have a device that runs version 4.25 of QNX. I would like to download a
free version of QNX that I can install on a desktop to develop apps that I
can run on my device. Which version of QNX should I download? I heard down
the grapevine that i can download version 6, but if I develop stuff under v6
it may not work on my 4.25 device. Any comments?

If I create a bootable CD using version6, will I be able to read the QNX
partition on my 4.25 device? I’m guessing this would at least work so that
I could poke around in there…

Any comments are welcome…

thanks

You can not develop apps for QNX 4.25 with QNX 6 (RTP).

QNX 6 can access QNX 4 apartitions.

If you want to develop apps for QNX 4.25 you will need to purchase the QNX 4.25 Development Suite.

Thanks for this info. I don’t think I want to spend any time developing
apps for QNX, but I do really want to at least be able to access my QNX
partitions. So if I can find a bootable CD that I can boot my device with
under QNX6, it sounds like I can at least then access the QNX4 partition and
change files. I could write apps that run under QNX6 I suppose…
