Your description is a little unclear. Have you
assigned the IP address to 192.168.0.2? If so,
what IP were you trying to ping? Is it on the
same network? If not, have you setup a gateway?

ok, i’ll try to be clear
i’ve a linux server which have the IP 192.168.0.1 .
my QNX Box is configure as 192.168.0.2 (en0 … configure as … Realtek ?
NE2000 ? … but configured
(i don’t have the nettrap binary for testing as it said on FAQ’s …
these computers are in the same LAN network …
when i try to ping the server (192.168.0.1) that tells me “no route to host”
or “host down” …
can anyone tell me what command lines to launch (io-net etc …) for the
network card and protocols (TCP/IP) become active ??? (maybe the problem is
there … but i don’t know …)

From you description, my only guess is that your
IP is not configured to en0 properly.

I also had this, with a matronix card that uses the tulip driver, it
came up but refused to ping out, I could ping it but no further down the
line. The card cah been fine in linux and windows for years…
My solution was to try another card, this time a kingston that also uses
the tulip driver, strangely this worked fine.
Not really sure if this helps you but interesting non the less
