Screen saver in Photon

Hi,

Does anybody know how I can to run screen saver in Photon? I mean command
to do it. I created shortcut with shortcut key (ctrl-alt-Z) in Windows and
I have possibility to launch screen saver while I’m leaving the room (for
example, password protected saver). I would like to have it in QNX. I’ve
installed PhHotKey, but I don’t know what command I should launch.

Thanks in advance,
Eduard.

Hello,

Presently you can start a screen saver from the command line as follows in 6.1.
‘/x86/usr/photon/savers/phmatrix -s’
Although this will not allow the screen saver to be sensitive to input devices. In order to make it sensitive to input devices you must use the ‘saver’ utility. Unfortunately in this utility the shortest time that can be used in the ‘saver_cfg’ file is one minute.

Regards,
Dave B.

Hello Dave,

Unfortunately? :sunglasses: No! 1…300 minutes is enough wide range.
Screensaver (especially with password) torments you if you’ve setted a
minute or less

I’m about the program sends message to saver “to launch screensaver
immediately”, neither more than…

By the way, at first I agree I’ve done unexpected operation , but I
launched saver (I believe phmatrix is suited too) without photon. And I got
the message: “Memory fault (core dumped)”. It is not like NT’s bluescreen
(even Midnight Commander continues to work), but normally photon’s
application prints “Ap: Unable to locate Photon”.

Thank you for your help,

Best wishes,
Eduard
