how to configure QNX bootloader

I installed QNX 6.1.0 on my laptop a few weeks ago to it’s own partition.
Windows 2000 was installed previously and lives on an NTFS partition. I
chose to install the QNX boot loader and it works fine. But, how can I
configure the bootloader? It is defaulting to QNX and not Win2k. There is
only a short delay before it starts to load the OS and most of the time it
boots into QNX before I have had the time to change it to Win2k. I use Win2k
most of the time since this is my work laptop.

I don’t mind using the QNX bootloader, but I want to make Win2k the default
OS. If I can’t do this, how can I remove the QNX bootloader and then use
Win2k’s bootloader to choose Win2k or QNX?

TIA

Chris

Yes. use ‘fdisk’. Highlight the partition you want to be the default boot
partition and hit ‘b’ for boot. Then make sure you hit ‘s’ for save.

I’m assuming you mean use fdisk in QNX… I’ll give it a try. Thanks!

Yes!

You could use Microsoft’s fdisk only for remove QNX boot loader from MBR (poorly documented option:
fdisk /mbr). In this case you need to use win2k’s boot loader. There is “RTP+NT dual boot system”
thread in this newsgroup (at July).

I used the winME fdisk and set the default boot partition to mywin
partition. Not sure though if win2K fdisk would be able to do the same

Set default boot partition (set active partition) and erase of QNX boot loader (fdisk /mbr) are
different things. There is windisk program in win2K for setting active partition.

Eduard.

as I
had problem installing Qnx in my other PC with win2K. (Had to delete the
win2K first.)
