800x600@80Mz on S3 Trio3D/2x in QNX 6.0 is it possible??

Hello all. I am one of the new QNX users. I having problem changing
display refresh rate (the default 60Mz provided by VESA is very
uncomfortable). Maybe changing video driver will help but, as far as I
know there is no support for Trio3D/2x, but there is for Trio3D, Virdge
and other S3 video cards in s3.so. I wonder can I use it?? Or there
are other ways to increase refresh rate?? In Windows this card work at
800x600@85Mz.

Hi Maed,

Download the hardware information grabbing scripts from:

www.geocities.com/erickmuis/files/hardware_scripts/nto/

Download the scripts then run the graphics script as the root
user and when Photon is NOT running.

Thanks

Erick.

Hi Maed,

Could you please upgrade to the latest version of the OS? The
current version is 6.1.0A also we have never had in your card
here, and the device ID is not in our enumerators. Could you
edit the enumerator files

/etc/system/enum/devices/graphics and add in your device ID
in with the other S3 chipsets. Once you have this done,
restart your system and let us know how things turn out.

E.

Thanks for advises. I will download 6.1.0A as fast as possible, but it takes a
lot of time to download ~24 Mb via ukranian telephone lines :frowning: (at least Ill have enough time to study the DOCs abut QNX and its enumerators  ).

Best regards,
Maed
