where can I download drivers??

Hi.

I checked QNX website and found out bunch of driver lists for networkcard.
Where can I download them??

One more, how can I check cipset number of specific networkcard?? And why
doesn’t the command “nettrap” work?

Many thanks !

You probably already downloaded them. All supported nic driver
are in the iso image or the .exe you download.

In a perfect world, during boot, the os will detect your nic
and load the driver for you automaticlly.

In case you want to know the chipset of a pci nic card, the
command “pci -v” could help. And for “nettrap”, it is no longer
there because enumerators (/sbin/enum-*) did that job.

Hi,

All the network drivers are located in the /lib/dll directory.
These are not executables, they are shared objects that are loaded into io-net.

ex: io-net -dtulip …

Note: The ‘devn-’ and ‘.so’ are stripped off.

Take a look at ‘io-net’ in the QNX Helpviewer for more information on starting
network drivers. Also check out the QNX Knowledge Base:

Regards,

Joe

Hi.

I have Kingston EtheRX IC PC card, and tried ne2000 and got en0.
I run phlip and typed IP gateway, etc in it and saved. And then I rebooted
QNX and found out that all I typed in phlip were gone with en0.
So, I tried to do again from the beginning, but this time, even en0 didn’t
show up.
That means my net card is not compatible with QNX6.1 ?
If yes…I have to buy new one… :frowning:
Thanks.
