Hello everyone,
I have a Zoom 2975L Dualmode PC Card Faxmodem inserted in a TI 1420 CardBus
Controller, (which is supported by QNX 6) on my Dell Inspiron 4000.
I can’t seem to get QNX 6.1 to recognize it.
A pin command shows empty slots. For some reason, four slots are listed.
Also, is there a reason why four slots are listed instead of two?
It works fine in RH Linux, and is identified as a “serial or modem.”
I don’t understand why it is not detected, since it is a controller-based
modem.
I would really appreciate it if someone could help me get QNX to detect my
modem.
Thanks,
Jaden Jahner
Please do the following with your modem inserted:
- slay devp-pccard
- devp-pccard -vvv 2> file
- sleep 3
- slay devp-pccard
- sloginfo >> file
- post the output ‘file’
Thanks, Hugh.

If you look in the left hand column, you will see 2 entries for socket 1
and 2 entries for socket 2. The second column is “Func” and this is to
support dual function cards. That is why you see 2 entries per socket.
