I have QNX 6.1.0(A) installed on Celeron 466 with Chaintech 6BTM
mainboard.
ACER CD-ROM 50x and TEAC CD-RW
If I put any of them on first IDE channel ( slave ) i can see /dev/cd0,
but on second IDE channel ( slave ) none of them is accessible. ( I
don’t see /dev/cd0 )

There must be a master on the channel if a slave is attached. Otherwise
it is an illegal configuration.
Illegal for QNX ?
I can access CD-ROM/CD-RW on slave/second channel ( without master on it )
form both linux and windows.

Nope Illegal for all OS’s, however some OS’s let you drive the car from the
passenger seat (shrug).
