How to allow FTP as root

I’d like to be able to FTP into my machine as root. When I try this it
denies access. How do I allow it?

You have to remove the root user from the file /etc/ftpusers to allow
them to ftp to that system. You also must have a password for root on
that system or it will continue to fail.
