hi,
i have a dlink de660+ pcmcia network card in my Thinkpad.I can’t config it
,who can help me?

jszhou

Hi…

Your card should be listed here:

http://qdn.qnx.com/support/hardware/platform/pcmcia.html

If it is, then do a search for io-net and such here:

http://qdn.qnx.com/support/bok/index.html

You can always ask for more help after you have done your homework,
ofcourse. :slight_smile:

Regards…

Miguel.

thank you,Miguel! but

I found the card.But I can’t use it.
i use pin then it shows “sock=2 func=0 type=networkflags=c—i-±–X----
pid=73741 base=0x200 size=32 irq=5”.
then,
“io-net -d ne2000 ioport=0x200,irq=5 -p ttcpip if=en0:192.168.0.9”
after that
ping 192.168.0.6 (my server)
but it shows
PING 192.168.0.6(192.168.0.6):56 DATA BYTES
PING:SENTO:HOST IS DOWN
PING WROTE 192.168.0.6 64 CHARS ,RET=-1

I use nicinfo
it shows

total bytes txd=300 (after several pings the would be 600 but it
didn’t increase!);
total bytes rxd=0 (never change!)

My pcmcia card is dlink DE-660 ( Pcmcia Ethernet card devn-ne2000 ).
and my computer is Thinkpad A21m (i heard thinkpad has some trouble with
Qnx,is that right?)

what’s wrong with it!

You mention that total bytes txd is xxx, what’s the number of txd packets?
If it’s zero, I would say that there is some problem with ioport or irq.

PS: I use De-660+ card succesfully in my ancient notebook. (Dell CPTi266)

IRQ 5 is normally used by audio. Can you change the IRQ by slaying
devp-pccard and re-starting is as “devp-pccard -l7” which will assign
IRQ 7 to the card and then try the driver.
