An old version of Neutrino used by very few…

2; QNX/neutrino 2.x ==

Essentially the current “core” (i.e. kernel, and core services) for QNX6

3; QNX RTOS v6.x ==

The whole tamale (i.e. the core described above, and a bunch of other
stuff that one generally associates with a self-hosted OS).

hallo people,

can someone clear this question for me:
what is 1; QNX/neutrino 1.x == the kernel of their new OS( different from
QNX4.X)
2; QNX/neutrino 2.x ==
3; QNX RTOS v6.x ==devtools +neutrino

l’m getting a bit confused, any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
(That really a FAQ,^_^)

now is the QNX/neutrino 1.x resource manager library the same as the
QNX/neutrino 2.x ? what are the differences there. what l really want to do is
write a framework that works for both, but my problem is l seem not to find the
functions that are common to both and those that differ.

when a function belongs to QNX 6, does it mean that it works also with the
QNX/neutrino 1.x version.

Neutrino 2.11 is the same as QNX6.

Neutrino 2.11 brough a new set of features and API that you won’t find
in Neutrino 1.x (dispatch fonction for example).

Neutrino 1.x had very very limited exposure (so that QNX could
make change to it without everybody bitching about it). Once
could say it was almost an experimental version :wink:

The source for the resource manager are available on the CVS
repository, maybe you could back port it to Neutrino 1.

Absolutely not
