Could anyone tell me why the “nettrap” commando is not found when I write
it? I can’t find any documentation in the help tool about nettrap…
Thanks a lot!

Thanks, Joe!
Just one more question… I want to know if the network card I’m trying to
configure is recognized by the system. How can I do it?
Thanks again!
Cesar

Hi Cesar,
nettrap is not used in QNX 6.1.
The system enumerators will detect you network card and start up the
appropriate driver.Regards,
Joe

Hi Cesar,
You can do two things:
Check to see if a driver lib was mounted into io-net for you NIC.
To do this do a pidin | mem and check if there is a devn* entry
under io-net
If there is a devn* lib under io-net then the system reconized
your card and started the driver…you can use phlip to configure it.
Check to see if the system enumerators have an entry for your card.
To do this do a pci -vvv to get your NIC’s device ID (you will have
to sift through some output)
Then goto /etc/system/enum/devices and look in the net file to see
if your NICs device ID is referenced.
Regards,
Joe
