Char I/O DDK

I’m interested in doing something meaningful with the Character (Serial)
I/O DDK. I have the DDK but there is no documentation that I can find.
The source code (for devc-ser8250) is handy but insufficient in
explanation of the actual DDK and how to use it.

If there is a technote or something, like the one we had in QNX4 for Dev
drivers, I would appreciate getting my hands on it.

Thanks,

Geoff Roberts

Sorry, but we don’t currently have any docs for it. I don’t know when we’ll
have a chance to work on them.

Well, I can’t say that that is very helpfull. Is there a newsgroup I can
“piggy back” onto with questions then? Like those for USB and network
DDK’s?

Geoff.

Just to clarify: please don’t take my comments as a statement that we’re
never going to document this DDK. We know that it needs to be done, but
it’s up to management to decide when to allocate the resources to do it.

If you need this DDK, please let your sales rep know, so that we can
create a business case for the work.

In the meantime, you can post any questions in one of the newsgroups. There
isn’t one specifically for the character DDK, so I’d suggest comp.os.qnx.
I read the newsgroups, and I’ll try to capture any information that should
go into the docs.

Thanks.
