Hi Hugh,
thanks for responding promptly.
We are still waiting on docs from Sis regarding this new chipset (Rev 90h).
Unfortunately SiS have changed the way they store the MAC address, so that
is why you get all zeroes. Is this chipset on the motherboard or is it a
plug-in PCI card? If its on the motherboard, what type of motherboard do
you have?
Here are the details:

A one little digression regarding video adapters. Is ATI Radeon 9000
supported ? It seems to me, it’s not yet.
Thanks.
I’m not sure about this one, one of the video guys will have to answer this
one.

It sounds as though you have one of the new SiS 900 chips that we don’t
yet
support. Please post the output from ‘pci -vv’.

Hi,
heaving read all discussions regarding connection setups didn’t help me
resolve my internet connection problem. I have Sis 900 NIC installed and
a
proper driver for it, devn-sis9.so. No matter whether I specify DHCP or
Manual connection (with all the IPs), the result is always the same:
dialog
dialer shows message: pppoed started, contacting server … and it stays
like this forever, trying to contact the server.
Invoking nicinfo tells that:
Physical Node ID … 0000 0000
Current Physical NOde ID … 0000 0000
which is a bit peculiar, but all other parameter values look ok, i
think.
NIC is connected to the network through TERAYON cable modem.
Any help would be highly appreciated.
Thx.
