LAN configuration

Hi all.
I’m really new in QNX. I’d like some help.
I’ve installed QNX, but I couldn’t configure the net.
We have a LAN, whit a router, which has an IP 192.168.1.1 (Gateway) ,and the
the computer where is installed
QNX has the IP: 192.168.1.4. The netmask is 255.255.255.0
But in the configuration I can’t find any place to put the DNS.

If you have any idea about how to configure it, I’d appreciate a lot your
help.

Thanks in advance.

I assume that you mean that IP is working. I.E. you have established
an IP address for the machine and you can ping into and out of this
box by IP address.

If you click on the side shelf under Configuration and hit the
“Network” button, that will pop up a network configuration dialog box.
(Note: You must be root to make changes.) Click on the 3rd Tab
also called “Network”. This allows you to give this system a host
name and domain name. Under that you can add Domain Name Servers
by IP address.

If you want to add this systems name to your own DNS, then that
is a different matter.

Now, if you are doing this without a gui, use the resolver configuration
file. That is /etc/resolv.conf. A simple example is from the help files,
nameserver_209.226.137.53
lookup_file_bind
