The RTP didn’t detect my diamond MX400 sound card, so I was wondering:
a) are drivers in the works for this line of sound cards ? and
b) if not, what is the optimal driver to use for these cards ?

The Diamond MX400 is based on the ESS Canyon 3D.
There are currently no drivers for the ESS Maestro and
Canyon 3D drivers. We have no documentation on these
chipsets. We are interested in supporting these cards, but
it will probably not be in the near future.
