PCi Soundcard and ISA ne2000 network card not working (fwd)

i didn`t get any response over on RTP.Beta for the last 2 days
and now thats been set read only apparently.

there doesnt seem to be an exact mailing list place for this type of post now, so i thought id try here ?.

please remember that for people that pay for phone/web
access here in the UK and indeed elsewere, pay by the minute
so its more conveniant and FAR more economical to report problems
in email mailing lists than spend 10times + online typeing at
a webpage, far easyer to reference too.

so anyway, anyone get any idea`s/instructions for me regarding
this crosspost please.

how might i change the mouse driver to try one of the others ?.

serial bus=pci ven=10b9 dev=5237 class=0c subclass=03 progif=10 subven= subsys=
this could be part of the tvcard but not sure ?

I think it’s your USB thingie…

What kind of mouse is this, serial or PS/2?

The Addonics SV550 is stated to use the Yamaha YMF744 PCI audiochip.
There is currently no released driver for this chip. We are working
on one. Expect a driver in one of the first few patches.

windows driver says its a yamaha derived chip, the card CD is marked
as sound vision addonics, SV550.

i dont have any USB kit to plug in at this time so if it is that, then
i`m not to bothered right now 8}, if its the radio/TV card, its a
“Pinnacle MicroVideo PCTV” Pal PCi card.

its a ps/2 chocolate Moose whatsit lol, Brand Genius Net Mouse Pro
i use its middle mouse button all the time to scroll
up yonder, en down tat tither end

in other words instead of a wheel, its got 2 center Micro Switches like
so, and a big free floating middle button covering the MS`s

dot denotes a Micro Switch, R=right mouse button, L=left button
rock the middle button to make the top MS scroll up, and the
bottom MS to scroll down, hope thats clearer ?.

great, i finally managed to find the doc to this card, the chip
it states is a slightly older one i assume, A Yamaha YMF724 PCi,
hopefully this driver also covers this variant with luck.

funny enough, the box says its PCi 2.1, Sound Blaster Pro compatable,
i assume though, its not SB Pro by default, thats the drivers
job to activate this compatability i`d take it.

that just leaves the NE2000 & 10/100 cards in this machine to worry
about now 8} .

OK… I have `a’ Genius mouse here, although it’s not chocolate for sure…
(tastes too salty… shrimp perhaps). Anyway, they don’t appear to do their
middle button the way most people do.

You won’t get any wheel action from that until we can get info from
them… they don’t have any specs on their protocols on their web
site. Don’t worry though, after all they are Geniuses.

It is and does.

Correct.

James M.

As I run the same trouble (PC104 NE2000 card not detected!)
I wonder if you have any hint or answers to help me?

Thanks,

Didier.
