Internet configuration

Hello,

I try to configure my Internet connection on QNX. It is a cable connection
with DHCP server. With phlip, my IP address and netmask are correct, DNS
servers and domain name are found. But there is no server name or id for
DHCP server (is it normal ?), and there is no Gateway and I can’t add one
(when I click apply, the gateway I typed disappears…)…

When I take a look at /proc/ipstats :

[...]

en0: 212.68.235.245 netmask 255.255.255.0 up

[…]

DST: 212.68.235.0 NETMASK: 255.255.255.0 GATEWAY: en0

[…]

But the Internet connection still don’t work…

What can I do, who can help me ??

Laurent

Hi Laurent

I have found that for my ISP (rogers@home) dhcp only works in windows.
Fortunately however (for my ISP anyhow) the dhcp server always gives
me the same network settings. I took note of these then use them
in a manual configuration and all works great.

Maybe try this?

There are a lot of people here at QNX that have at home service, and
DHCP works fine for all of us.

You need to make sure that your HOSTNAME is set to the machine name
you got from @home in order for DHCP to work
