Incompatibility between BIOS and QNX 6

I can´t install QNX 6.2.1 due to an incompatibility between the computer BIOS (1997) and QNX 6. I can´t boot from QNX CD. The machine is a Pentium II 233MHz. How can I compatibilize QNX 6? Is there any file to compatibilize it?

Well that’s not a compatibliity issue, that’s probably just because your machine doesn’t support booting from CD. Can it boot from other CD (Windows, Linux)

I beleive on the CD there is a program to build a install floppy, you can do that from Windows. Then boot/install from the floppy.

I can boot from Windows 98 SE CD perfectly. I have already tried to boot from QNX 6 boot floopy disk, but the boot process failed. I think it’s an incompatibility problem.

Do you get an error when you try to boot from either the CD or floppy?

If you see messages like “Press ESC to boot alt…”, try hit ESC see if you can still boot from CDROM/Floppy. (Be quick, you only got 4 seconds I think :smiley:)

When I boot from QNX 6 boot floopy disk I get the folowing messages:

Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices…
/.diskroot file for root not found on any filesystem.
Starting with safe mode…
Unable to locate fs-pkq.

When I try to boot from QNX 6 CD it doesn’t boot.
