Installed qnxrtp.tar.F & does nothing

I have a (quite old) PC with QNX4.25 running. To get QNXRTP I instlled
qnxrtp.tar.F without any
problem. I copied /boot/fs/qnxbase.ifs to /.altboot. I rebooted the system,
pressed ESC
to get the alternate OS and the system hung up or sometimes rebooted. (I
tried it several times,
and I also tried the qnxbasedma.ifs file). Anyway there was no more screen
output or error message to give me any hint what went wrong, after pressing
ESC.
I have already installed qnxrtp.tar.F on other hardware platforms
successfully, so I thing I didn’t
do anything wrong.

The PC that makes problems has a PCI Baby-AT Motherboard (Intel), an Intel
Pentium 60MHz Processor, 48MB RAM, and an IDE Controller.

Thanks for any help on that problem

Norbert.

It worked fine on my Pentium 133, 32 MB with QNX 4.25,
try to redownload the tar.F maybe an error is in the file ?!

Maybe it’s something else.

Try to deactivate DMA, it might help.
