SMC EtherEZ ISA (devn-wd.so) network setup problem...

Hi all,

My installation of QNXRTP straight of the CD didn’t configure my network
card correctly (SMC EtherEZ ISA 8416 (WD8003 dirivative?).

The on-line help said run “nettrap” which reported:

io-net -dwd

However “io-net -dwd -ptcpip” doesn’t doesn’t seem to work, reporting
“Symbol not found”… All other devn-*.so drivers correctly report “Device
not found”

Further investigation reveals that the devn-wd.so library appears to be
different in format to all the other .so’s (for instance devn-ne2000.so);
“nm” reveals the functions implemented in the driver to be vastly different
to all the other devn-*.so drivers.

The date of the driver is also early Aug when the rest of the devn-* devices
are built in Sep… So I suspect that this driver has not been built
correctly or is not currently supported… Am I right in my assumption?

Anyone know where I can get a working devn-wd.so driver?

Thanks for any help!

The wd driver on the RtP is busted. I hope to have something to replace
it on http://staff.qnx.com/~cdm/ sometime in the near future.
