i have an old adaptec aha2940 pci scsi-adapter (on an asus p2b-mainboard) which isn’t detected in qnx rtp.
a plextor px-32, a yamaha crw4416 and an ibm-hd are connected to it.
i installed qnx from the .iso/cd under windows on an ide-hd, no other way worked - the bootable qnx-cdrom itself couldn’t detect its own cdrom drive…
i tried devb-aha8 & in the terminal, but nothing happened.
and i suppose i do not have to mount scsi-hd’s or cd’s? they’re auto-mounted, right?
since i don’t know how to stop the terminal-window from scrolling when doing pci -v i can only guess i saw right, that it was detected.
sooo, what can i do to get access to my scsi-adapter and -cdrom-drives?
In our next release we will be supporting installs to/from
scsi devices.

damn, i’m really getting confused by all that installation/commandline/cryptic stuff, i’m sorry to spam this newsgroup with stupid messages… next time i take a minute to concentrate
being good on windows (and commodore64, if that matters) really doesn’t give any useful start for a unix… and beos was too easy, i know, i know =-)
thanks to all the nice people here that have the patience to answer all newbie questions over and over and over again - i’ve never been treated nicer than that!
