dmitri,
many thanks for your help, i tried it immediately: your ftp-server is very well equipped with fine apps, the best resource i’ve seen for qnx software (doesn’t mean that i’ve seen too many others)
unfortunately the installation of GLIB/GTK and GIMP made some trouble, which seems to be very banal:
when i unpack/install the GLIB/GTK from your ftp-server i get following
errormessage after the file ./usr/etc/gtk/gtkrc.vi was unpacked:
…/usr/etc/gtk/gtkrc.vi
tar: ./usr/man: cannot change mode to 0755: invalid argument
tar: ./usr/man: cannot chown to uid 0 gid 0: is a directory
tar: ./usr/bin: cannot change mode to 0755: invalid argument
tar: ./usr: cannot change mode to 0755: invalid argument
tar: ./usr: cannot chown to uid 0 gid 0: is a directory
tar: error exit delayed from previous errors
the same happens when i unpack GIMP, a bit different directories, but the same errors.
when i then type ‘gimp’ in a terminal window, the error is:
could not find library libXext.so.6
it seems, most of the files of both .tar.gz archives were installed, though.
i was installing as ‘root’, the archives were in / - so what could i have done wrong?
thanks for helping again,
Previously, Dmitri Alexeyev wrote in qdn.public.qnxrtp.installation:
first, download Glib/GTK+ 1.2.8 from > ftp://ftp.qnx.org.ru:2121/
copy *.tar.gz file to / and type:
tar zxvf *.tar.gz - this will automatically install all libraries.
Then download our ports of gimp-1.0.4 and do the same
