Installation does not work with IDE hdd & CD-ROM

As my SCSI-CDROM is not supported, I tried to remove the SCSI-card,
install an older IDE-CDROM and install QNXRTP.

All went fine, apparently QNX could find the CDROM and actually started
copying files from there to the partition on the HDD.

Then the installation process halts and shows an error message:

|COPY /cd/boot/fs/qnxbase.qfs.gz to /hdisk/boot/fs 96%

This stops at 96% each time I tried it.

|simq_timer: building abort ccb
|ata_start_ccb: func 10
|ata_ccb_abort: calling ata_error

Anyone knows what might cause this?

Or: Is there any way to install QNX to a FAT filesystem and then
transfer it to its own partition?

Thanks,
Helge.

Dirty CD?

You must disable DMA on this machine.
