Problems with ISO file

Hi everybody,

I want to install rtp on a compaq notbook (an old elite) and have
downloaded the iso image file to burn a cdrom with it. I’ve used Easy CD
Creator 3.5c to do so but I’ve not used the option ‘disk at once’. Now, I
can’ access to some files on the cdrom, such as files in directory
‘HTML’. The ‘setup.exe’ in directory ‘QNXRTP’ is not executable.
So, I’ve downloaded the file again. With the deamon-utils I’ve mounted
the file image as cd-rom under winNT. The result: the same, no access to
files in ‘HTML’ and ‘QNXRTP’.
After searching in this newsgroups I’ve found a message to check the
checksum of the image file. So, i’ve downloaded the ‘cksum.exe’ file to
test the checksum. Both files have diffrent checksums (and they differ
from the value given in the knowlage base article).
Well, has anybody an idear? Meanwhile I’ve downloaded the file (with ie
5.x) twice and won’t do this again.

Regards,

Klaus

If the iso files you have downloaded have different cksums than the
number listed in qdn, odds are they will simply not work.
I would attempt to download the files with a different
machine or try using another program to download the iso.
(Getright for example)

And burn the ISO using Disk At Once mode, dude! If your burner can’t do
DAO,
shell out the cash for the CD. Its not like buying Windows.
