QNX RTP Boot Fails

I am trying to install RTP on a VME single-board computer:
VMIC 7489 486DX4-100 with 32MB, Phoenix BIOS 4.04.11,
3.5" floppy, IDE HDD, etc.

Runs DOS, Win9x and Linux 2.2.6 just fine.

When I boot RTP boot floppy (made from CD), I get:

Press Esc for alternate OS…
…

the screen goes blank for a few seconds, then
the system reboots. This floppy boots fine on my desktop
system.

I also tried booting the VME board with a QNX 4.25 disk
and got:

QNX Loader v2.0
B kbd
Floppy corrupt

then it hangs. This floppy also boots fine on a desktop system.

Any ideas?

A 486 with 32MB of memory? Are you sure you aren’t running Win3.x? I think
you have a different idea of “just fine” than I do.
