setting a static LAN IP?

I have a QNX box connected to LAN and using a Linux box as a router to
cable modem. I just need to set the IP address, gateway and nameserver
for the QNX box. For whatever reason the QNX TCP/IP Configuration tool
just will not accept the values? The tool just removes the gateway
entry. My LAN gateway is at 192.168.100.1 , hostname at 192.168.100.3
for the QNX machine,192.168.100.1 as the gateway and the same name
server I use on my Linux box. I just use the ip addresses for names
since I am too lazy to setup the DNS. The router uses dhcp and rebooted
often so its hostname is always different.

Then I tried typing in the entire routing table that works fine with a
Linux box conected to the LAN on the QNX box (changing the one ditgit
that is differnt for each box on the LAN) and still the TCP/IP tool
just cleared all the data I entered. So how do I enter the routing
information. Note I have Linux, AIX, BeOS, Windows95 and MacOS machines
all happy on this local LAN. Why is QNX different then every other OS
on the planet? Even AIX was trivial to configure for the LAN.

Also I have checked and my ethernet card appears to be installed
correctly. I have a /dev/en0 and verified the network stack is loaded.

Well for whatever reason if I kill the io-net process and rerun it with
‘io-net -dne2000 -ptcpip’ then every thing works…
Wow QNX is really cool… even plays mp3s on my old 133 AMD 486 box
without skipping and have a GUI. I can’t do that Windows and with Linux I
needed both command line and an optimed mpg123

Ill bet the nic was a isa card,There are problems right now that will be fixed in the upcoming patch release.
