Interesting boot problem

Ill start off with a hardware partition info run down 2 10 gig seagates,
primary and master and slave and a mitsumi ide cd burner and a hitachi just
player as the secondary master and slave. The latest qnxrtp will boot fine
if the slave is disconnected or if a smaller hdd is in the slave but as soon
as i plug my drive back in it gets to the “this will take 30 seconds” bit
and thats as far as it goes.

the partitions are as such hdd1 is fat qnx fat fat fat unallocated
hdd2 is fat fat (fifty fifty)

qnx is in a parition of its own which is 900 to a gig in size and it falls
well with in the 8 gig limit which this BIOS doesnt have anyway.

Any ideas ??

Hi Darryl,
I happen to have similar problem,
hdd 8 Go first master
cd second master ide
gice me the same… it locks on mounting the filesystem
just after the pause it should load some files…
is this a fat 32 problem ?

If you are referring to the fact that mine is intalled into a fat32 then no
mine isn’t. Mine is in a partition of whatever QNX makes. I can get mine
to boot if i disconnect one of my 10gb which happens to be the master slave.
But if I plug it back in, it wont boot, like you just said.
