Support for Sound Blaster AC '97 ?

I just picked up a little box with a Crystal 4299 chip. It claims to be compatible with SB & MS direct sound, but is a higher than the other Chrystal chips supported. the enumeration thingy fails to find the chip. Any hope?

The 810 graphics and #COM 920 LAN work well. RTP installed so quickly I thought that something was wrong (besides the audio).

Hi David,

What you have is an i810. It is a motherboard with built-in
video and audio. Currently, RtP supports the video but not the
audio. Given our push to move to the non-GPL drivers and
get started on a DDK, we have waited on support for some
chips. This is one of them. Hopefully we will be able to
get around to it soon, but I cannot promise any timeline.

p.s. The CS4299 is an AC’97 Codec (or mixer). It is the
second chip in the 2-chip AC’97 system. It has a standard
interface and well-defined register set. The 82801AA
AC’97 Controller is the non-standard part of the
system which is why we semantically link the driver name to
the Controller not the Codec.
