Does anyone know if either Xircom combo 56K modem + 10/100 ethernet card
or 3Com 3CCFEM556B (also 56K modem 10/100 ethernet combo) can be made to
work under RTP?
So far they are being detected by devp-pccard as instered and pin shows
them, but according to docs devp-pccard should rescan PCI bus when that
happens and I expect them to appear in pci -v output as well. That does
not happen, so no wonder neither driver works with them.
Any ideas?
Hmmm…I thought the Xircom cards were not supported.

But they list 3CCFEM656B as ‘half supported’ (network only). I’m wondering
if it is the same thing as 3CCFEM556B…

I haven’t tested this 3Com adapter (556), as I don’t have one, but the 656
and 575 do work. The Xircom adapter is not supported, but the modem does
work as it is not a Winmodem.

If devp-pccard detects the cards correctly, they should show up in the
PCI space. If you run ‘devp-pccard -vvv > file’ with the card inserted
and then wait a few seconds and ‘slay devp-pccard’ and send me ‘file’,
I should be able to see what is going on.
Any ideas?
