Hi there.
I have a big problem to start RTP after the installation on my
notebook.
Here the specs of my computer:
IPC - Type 6133 with 366 MHz / 160 MB Ram / 3 GB HD / ATI Rage Pro /
Sound Fusion …aso.
I installed NT4.0 and Win98
RTP works fine after the installation with the standalone
win98-installation exe.
I ignored the failures:
Range check failed (IO…) and Range check failed (MEM…)
The system start and the sound and graphic (ATI) runs. I wonder for
the good plug and play function
But i need sleep and my notebook a battery charged. I would like to
start RTP and it hangs after the ‘range check’-failures and the
message ‘FS-PKG: Ready to handle requests’
I uninstalled and installed the RTP. The first start is going on, but
after the reboot the same problem
Only the switch ‘B’ on the boot options can handle the problem. But no
ATI-Card, no sound and so on
BTW: On the first start it takes the alternate packages for
configuration.
I have read the faqs and the neutrino bookset. Nothing helps.
Sorry for my worst english
Chris
Hi Eric,
thanks for your answer. Here is my remail on the qnx-newsgroup and i
hope, i became the problems fixed. I need time for work on QNX and my
work as a windows application developer (blame on me
) needs the
most of my time. When i fixed the problems, i want to be a overview of
my hardware and software configuration on the newsgroup.
Have a nice day
Chris

After a long day on my job, i have a little bit more time on the
weekend
I have installed the QNX Realtime Platform (Version 07.09.2000) on
the root partition on my notebook again.
The failure (system hang up after reboot) is coming up again, but i
have found the problem.
I start the system with the C-Switch (Disable the pcmcia/pccard
enumerator) on the boot menu and it works
Sound and graphik is going on.
My next work is the right configuration of the Xircom NIC and maybe
the Fritz Isdn-Card.
Thanks a lot for the help
Chris
BTW: I worked on my english
