Does Photon dual video cards?

My devel machine at home has two older Matrox cards - Millenium II &
Millenium. I can run these fine in Windows & X11. I installed the
latest RTP ISO this weekend and upon booting it seems to lock itself up
when trying to detect my video cards. I can’t remember the output right
now, but I was wondering if Photon even supports dual video card
systems?

Charles, this article refers to Photon 1.xx. Somewhere in the journey to

Photon 2.0 dual video dropped out…unless one of the two cards is a Voodoo
or Banshee card! Then a similar cut and paste works on
/etc/system/graphics.modes, AFAIR. Just don’t try to use the graphics config
program to change anything; it only thinks of one card.
I have heard this will be back for Photon 2.1, I just don’t know when.

Thanks

This implies that all Photon 1.1x drivers supported dual video card
operation, and that is definitely not true.

So the official word from QNX is that I can’t do dual matrox millenium
video cards with the most recent release of RTP?

Yes.

Your machine should not be locking up though.

Sounds like a trapper issue. If you have dumper running, do you
find anything in /var/dumps after the lockup?

Yes.

Your machine should not be locking up though.

It locks during the boot process while doing “crttrap”. It executes
crttrap 4 times (it displays 1 hex identifier for each matrox card and
then displays 1 vesa identifier for each card) and freezes after the
last one so I never get to a prompt to check /var/dumps. I’ll take note
of the exact messages and post again on Monday.
