I have a microsoft intellimouse with the wheel on PS2 and it jumps an hops
all over the screen. Move the mouse 1mm on the desktop and it could go
anywhere on the screen. Not only does it jump but it opens all of the right
mouse menus too. Somtimes it will work correctly for a minute when I first
start qnx-rtp but then it starts doing this.
I’m having the same problem with my serial 2-button mouse.
What I do is increase its priority ie.
use the pterm & #pidin
(look for line with devi-hirun, something like
pid tid name prio STATE …
… … …/devi-hirun 10r … …)
say the pid is 266265, then, #renice -2 -p 266265
the prio should change to 12r or something higher. This give the mouse a
slightly higher priority. I do not know if
this is the correct approach, but my mouse works better than prevously
jumping around.

Hi
Not sure if your idea works since i don’t have this problem (ps2 mouse) but anyway, easier to change prior would be
slay -P12(or the prio you want) devi-hirun then you won’t have to find the pid each time
Hi Mr phearbear,
Is the command #slay -P12 devi-hirun
correct? I tried but was not able to run the slay command. I’ll try again,
(I have to boot qrtp as I’m writing this on m$windoh box … .
