Using the ISO image

Is there any way to use the CD-ROM ISO image without burning a CD?

I.E. Can I just copy that ISO image and load some program that can interpret
it without actually reading it off of a CD?

I want to have access to the entire repository but I don’t have access to a
CD-ROM burner.
Also, I don’t have access to the internet from RPT. Only from IE so I can’t
update from the WWW repository.

linux# mount -t iso9660 -o loop -o ro qnxrtp.iso /mnt

OK. Cool. Thanks Frank.

A couple of things. I assume that “linux#” is simply your command prompt.

What does the “-o loop” do?

with root privillage.

Using the loop device on linux.
“man mount” on linux and search for loop.
Sorry, I don’t know if you can do the same thing under RTP.

mount -t /fs/hd0-dos-3/qnxrtp.iso /This-Is-The-CD-iso-on-a-windows-Partition

i did have the iso in several /!1/!2/!3/this.iso but it seems mount
didnt like eather the leading ! or the 3 subdirs so i moved
the rtp.iso to the root of the windows drive and it was cool with that.

use a real name for that /this-is… bit, just thought i`d make
that clear incase some people didnt quite realise LOL

/cdrom2 would be fine

right , so whos going to write a .hdf, ,adf, .zip, .lha, .gz Ect mount point for the RTP then ?, so i can read and write to these in any standard app, .hdf and .adf are straight binary copys of amiga floppys and hardfiles as found in winUAE, so those might be a easyer to write a mount point for, the others im sure you
know are compressed in one form or another so could prove
problamatic perhaps ?.
