I just downloaded and installed RTP (scsi version) on my home machine
but it will not boot. I get the following:
Range check failed (IO)- Dev 7010 - Vend 8086 - Class 10180 - Addr FFA0
size 10
Range check failed (IO)- Dev 8029 - Vend 10EC - Class 20000 - Addr FF80
size 20
Detected EIDE. Scanning for devices.
This can take up to 30 seconds …
/.diskroot File for root not found on any filesystem
Starting with safe mode.
Unable to start devc-con
After that my computer becomes a big whirrrrring desk ornament.
I have a:
Dell p166,
10Geg HD,
All in Wonder video,
a SCSI card for the scanner,
Dlink ethernet for the cable modem,
USB port,
USR modem,
Tape backup
Is your HD IDE or SCSI? Looks like your SCSI card is not recognized.

I am having the same problems. However, I think I know what it is…
Did you install the RTP to a FAT partition? I think my problem is that my
FAT32 partition has a partition ID not recognized by the qnx Fat filesystem
manager.
The partition id on my FAT32 partition is 28, and I think that QNX is
hanging on this…
I think the solution would be to have the Fat file system software look for
a FAT table or some on disk data structure it recognizes rather than the
partition id only.
I am shooting from the hip here, so I could also be wrong in my
assumptions…
